Community Action Response: COVID-19

Helensburgh & Lomond Foodbank is an independent Foodbank run entirely by volunteers. All of the food we issue is donated by the local community and shared with those in need within the local community. We issue 35 to 40 bags of food every week to individuals and families experiencing food poverty in the Helensburgh & Lomond Area.

Anyone who finds themselves in a crisis, without food or money to buy food, is welcome to drop-in at any of our Foodbank sessions, there is no need to obtain a referral from any other agency. Everyone who attends the Foodbank will be warmly welcomed and receive a bag of food, fruit and bakery. We can also signpost those attending to support agencies who will be able to provide further advice or support on welfare benefits, debt, housing, homelessness, addiction services and other issues.

Monthly Notices will appear on our website and Facebook page. (Click on Image Above)
However, if you would like to donate food to the Foodbank we are always pleased to receive non-perishable food within the use by date.
In addition to the above, food such as breakfast cereal, cereal bars, longlife milk, tinned meat and fish, tinned vegetables and fruit, rice, jars of curry or sweet and sour sauce, tea and pasta sauce are all much needed.
We also accept Dog and Cat food.
We are unable to accept clothes, prams etc however the local charity shops would be grateful for these.
Donations of food can be put into the dedicated box at the Co-operative Store, Sinclair Street, Helensburgh. You can donate at your local Church or at the TSI Office in Colquhoun Square or directly at the Red Cross Hall during the opening times shown above.
