ABOUT US

Helensburgh & Lomond Foodbank is an independent Foodbank run entirely by volunteers. All of the food we issue is donated by the local community and shared with those in need within the local community. We issue 35 to 40 bags of food every week to individuals and families experiencing food poverty in the Helensburgh & Lomond Area.

WHAT WE DO

Anyone who finds themselves in a crisis, without food or money to buy food, is welcome to drop-in at any of our Foodbank sessions, there is no need to obtain a referral from any other agency. Everyone who attends the Foodbank will be warmly welcomed and receive a bag of food, fruit and bakery. We can also signpost those attending to support agencies who will be able to provide further advice or support on welfare benefits, debt, housing, homelessness, addiction services and other issues.

FOOD NEEDED

We do not have a food needed list this month due to the huge amount of food generously donated by the community during December. We currently have sufficient stock of all the food items needed to meet current demand.
Thanks to everyone for their support. We will publish our next food needed list on this website and Facebook if any particular items are required.
If you know anyone who would benefit from food from the Foodbank please encourage them to come along and we would be pleased to provide this as we have plenty to share.
Just to remind everyone that no referral is required and anyone needing food can just just drop in.
We are open as normal and are fully complying with all the current Public Health Laws.
We would request that anyone who visits the Foodbank fully complies with F.A.C.T.S

F = Face coverings
A = Avoid crowded places
C= Clean your hands regularly
T = Two metre distance
S = Self isolate and book a test if you have symptoms
