Foodbank Mission Statement

Helensburgh & Lomond Foodbank is an independent Foodbank run entirely by volunteers.
All of the food we issue is donated by the local community and shared with those in need within the local community. We issue numerous bags of food every week to individuals and families experiencing food poverty in the Helensburgh and Lomond Area. Everyone who attends the Foodbank will be warmly welcomed and receive a bag of food, fruit and bakery.
Anyone who finds themselves in a crisis, without food or money to buy food, is welcome to drop-in at any of our Foodbank sessions, there is no need to obtain a referral from any other agency.

We can also signpost those attending to support agencies who will be able to provide further advice or support on welfare benefits, debt, housing, homelessness, addiction services and other issues.

If you live in Arrochar we can arrange for a bag of food to be made available for you at the Health Centre in Arrochar.
Please speak to the staff at the Health Centre who can help to organise this for you.

If you would like to donate food to the Foodbank we will be pleased to receive non-perishable food within the use by date. Please see our “Food Needed” notice on the page. Donation locations are also listed there.
Food such as breakfast cereal, cereal bars, long-life milk, tinned meat and fish, tinned vegetables and fruit, rice, jars of curry or sweet and sour sauce, tea and pasta sauce are welcome.
